product reviewICStation's XY-MUP Module has a ton of functions for any electronic hobbyist as it can act as your standard power supply, DC-DC Buck Boost Converter or even as a multimeter. In particular, these features of this module really struck me:
1. The simpleness when using the two modes on this module (power supply mode and measurement mode), especially since there are so many functions to go through. 2. This module's portability and compact size, making this module an excellent tool to pack into a tool box or a small bag. This product can be an alternative for the common, generic buck boost converter as it has a lot of its usual features and more. 3. The three power inputs (Type A, Type C and micro-USB input ports) on this module, which is perfectly adapted for more modern devices with those kind of ports. 4. The ability for this converter module to measure battery capacity and battery discharging time, as not many of these DC to DC devices has these features for a battery. Additionally, the built-in thermostat makes this module have the ability to measure the ambient temperature. 5. The neat, well-packed casing and packaging of this product which I received via mail from ICStation. This product comes in a plastic case with some foam inside to prevent any damages while shipping. 6. The affordable price tag of this converter from ICStation's store, as it goes for a discounted price of $5.35 right now, but goes for an ordinary price of $7.99. |
